Tulku Khyungdor Rinpoche is a white spiritual Master with German and Indian ancestors, living in Germany as well as in Asia.
Buddhist Background
Tulku Khyungdor Rinpoche is a master of the Dorje Lingpa Tradition, reincarnated in the West. In the year 2003 he was enthroned in Bhutan as an incarnation of a disciple of Dorje Lingpa, and also empowered as the Dorje Lobpön (Vajracharya) of the Dorje Lingpa lineage. Agya Rinpoche, who was the last lineage holder of the Dorje Lingpa lineage, also handed over to him the responsibility to carry on with the tradition, thus appointing him as his successor.
However, Agya Rinpoche passed away in the year 2005 before all necessary steps could be completed. Subsequently of his enthronement his recognition certificate was confirmed (sealed and signed) by H.H. Minling Trichen Rinpoche and H.H. Penor Rinpoche, the former head Lamas of the Buddhist Nyingma lineage.
According to Agya Rinpoche his lineage was connected to Darjeeling and Sikkim since the ancient times of Dorje Lingpa personally. Apparently from the time long before Darjeeling and Sikkim became separated, his lineage of predecessors had been of great influence in this part of the Himalayan culture, and thus is connected with the cultural history of ancient Sikkim.
When he recently visited locations of his predecessor he came to know, that all places had been taken down or had been overtaken by other lineages because of their political importance and spiritual power.

He received a traditional training according to the Kagyu and Nyingma schools of Tantric Buddhism, receiving all the necessary transmissions, and deepened his knowledge through intensive studies and many years of meditation according to the practice lineages of Himalayan Buddhism (often called Tibetan Buddhism).
After all traditional preparations he specialized in the Tantric Yoga practices of the Kagyu and Nyingma lineages of Buddhism.
The essence of his training triggered the most ancient form of the White Lineage, which comes from the time where all Tantras originate. It goes back to a time where there was not much difference between nowadays Hindu Tantra and Buddhist Tantra. It is a profound path of truth, the path of the Vidyadharas, the immortal wisdom holders, and the path of the Rishis, the seers and speakers of truth only. Thus, Tulku Khyungdor Rinpoche is a representative of the White Tradition.
Original and universal, he teaches the White Path according to the view and transmission of the Rimé movement (non-sectarian Buddhism), and his own lineage, the Nyingma lineage of Dorje Lingpa / Vairocana, which is one of the most original Buddhist lineages.
Inspired and supported by his Lama, H.E. Drubwang Nubpa Rinpoche of the great Drikung Kagyupa, who considers this holistic Yoga approach as worthy to survive, Khyungdor Rinpoche has decided to preserve this ancient art of holistic healing and make it available to a worldwide audience. To make this possible, an institution is being created in which it can be sheltered and cultivated.
Complementary Background
He grew up practising Yoga since early childhood due to his father who was a Yoga teacher. Complementary to his traditional Buddhist training, he was also trained in Tibetan medicine and astrology. He studied holistic medicine, and received the state certificate of a Naturopath (German certificate), whereupon he practiced his healing arts in Germany for a number of years.
He knows several languages, amongst them Tibetan and Sanskrit. Thus he is enabled to perform the original rituals to their extent for the benefit of all beings.
Due to his medical background he focuses in the chanting of ancient Sanskrit Mantras and performs healing rituals from within the medical teachings of the Himalaya.
Akasha Yoga he teaches complementary to the deep Buddhist teachings as a modern and timeless approach, also for people who do not wish to enter a traditional path.
As is known, Rinpoche is also an artist and musician. Some parts of the training of Akasha Yoga dealing with sound and ritual are to be complemented with the music composed for this purpose.
